BRING TO CLASS EVERY DAY
Ø Your three-ring binder with paper
Ø A blue/black pen
Ø Colored pen for revising your ideas.
Other Necessary Materials
Ø A Protractor
Ø Colored Pencils
Ø A tissue box
Ø Scientific calculator
CLASSROOM RULES - I have five classroom rules:
1. Follow all directions.
2. Keep all talk gracious and professional. Maintain the open learning environment through your respectful words. Do not swear or degrade others.
3. Wait for permission to handle classroom equipment. Keep your hands on your own belongings.
4. Remain quiet and in your seat until you have permission to do otherwise.
5. Do your own work. Even when you work in groups, you have the personal responsibility to make your own learning happen. This means using your own words and explanations.
Failure to follow these rules results in a verbal warning, after class discussion, parental contact, discipline referral.
OTHER NOTES
LATE WORK is accepted no later than a week late. Late homework must be fully completed.
PLAGIARISM IS A CRIME: Copying another’s work does not transfer their learning into your brain. Don’t Do it. Copying another student’s work results in your assignment earning you 0 points. You didn’t learn anything, you don’t earn anything.
Unexcused absences: If you have an unexcused absence you will be given a ZERO for whatever work you miss that day.
Tardies: Will be enforced. Be here and in your seat when the bell rings to begin class.
At the end of the hour: Do not stand next to the door. Stay at the student desks area of the room.
Eating in class is permitted, but anyone leaving his or her garbage behind will be required to clean the room the next day after class.
